Child Safety Standards
Our zero-tolerance standards against child sexual abuse & exploitation (CSAE).
Wovo is an adults-only (18+) space and has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes our standards, as required by Apple and Google for apps with user-generated content.
Prevention
- Wovo is strictly 18+. Age is confirmed at sign-up and enforced in the app.
- Photos are scanned by automated moderation before they're stored. Content flagged as sexual content involving minors is blocked and never published.
- Text is screened by automated moderation, and we review every child-safety report.
Reporting & response
- Anyone can report suspected CSAE in the app: tap the ⋯ menu on a profile, message, post, or event and choose "Child safety / involves a minor." These reports are prioritized above all others.
- Confirmed CSAE content is removed, and the responsible account is permanently banned.
- We report CSAE to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
Contact our child-safety team
To report a concern outside the app, email child-safety@wovo.app. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
In the United States, you can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
